The first game is a 2pm kick off between Pescara and Cagliari. Although Pescara are at home they have the 19th/20 worst home record in Serie A winning four games, drawing 1 and losing 7. Their last home win was on the 21st December 2012. Cagliari had an appalling end of November right through December getting beaten every game. But since the 13th January they are unbeaten and their last two games they have beaten AS Roma and drew with Milan. Confidence is high I believe and I think they will win.
Game 2 is on at 2.30pm, Nurnberg v Hannover. Nurnberg are 14th to Hannover's 10th Nurnberg have only lost two home games all season and one of those was to Leverkusen a top side. They have only lost twice to any teams in the bottom half of the table also. Hannover have only won two games away from home this season though losing 8, so I think the odds favour the home team.
At 3pm we go to Austria for Rapid Wien v Austria Wien. I'm really looking forward to this one. Although Rapid are the home team the odds for Austria were remarkable when you consider they haven't lost this season. Granted the league is very small, but they currently sit top 7 points clear of second placed Salzburg. Rapid have won 5 and lost 3 in the league. But I just feel that an unbeaten team will have the odds even if they are the away team.
And finally, and to conclude for Paul Parkman, Hoffenheim play Stuttgart. This is a tale of two shite sides. Hoffenheim have only won one game since early November and went on a run of six straight defeats. But, they have won 3 and drawn 3 in the league at home and they also beat Stuttgart 3-0 in September. Stuttgart are on a major slide, losing their last five games. In those 5 games they have shipped 14 goals! Confidence is low and I back Hoffenheim.
