Bursaspor to spoil Sivasspor's party and Club Brugge to plunge Cercle into more trouble
Bursaspor v Sivasspor, 6.30pm
The first tip today is in the Turkish League. Bursaspor entertain Sivasspor and I stronly fancy the home side here at 2.14. Bursaspor have won 3, drawn 3 and lost 2 in their last 8 whilst Sivasspor have half of their last 8. Bursaspor have lost 5 games this season but 2 of those 5 have come against sides in the top 6. Of those other 3 lost games, 2 have come at the hands of Istanbul both home and away, so these are a real nemesis for Bursaspor. Which leaves only one other loss to teams below 7th place which was away to Gaziantepsor.
Sivasspor have come into this game on the back of two losses and have only won 3 away games all season, two of those three were in August and October. So I believe that Bursaspor are there for the backing to day.
Cercle Brugge v Club Brugge, 7.30pm
Two bets in this fixture today. The first is a straight win for Club which can be backed at 1.65. Club Brugge are 6th to Cercle's bottom so there's not much to say here. The other bet is that there will be over 2.5 goals. Away from home Club Brugge must go friggin ballistic or something. At home they average 1.86 goals scored and 0.93 conceded. But away that record shoots up to 2.46 scored and 2.23 conceded. Where Club Brugge have played away in recent games, there has been two 4-1 results, a 3-1, a 7-1, a 6-1 and a 6-2. The tactics board is obviously left at home.

Some decent gains may see the end of the week's turbulence
Pitstips spreads were up today but earlier there looked to be more doom and gloom in the air. The first half an hour of trading saw a swing in my favour of around £30 only for all that good work to get wiped out and overall profit to fall from yesterday's +£217 to around +£189. Much was red. However, a strongish afternoon session which may have tied into the starting of the US exchanges saw my spreads reach a profit of £247. Equity is £12 short of £600.
Laird, Ocado and Premier Oil all made some decent moves. Premier Oil must go on from here now as this is one that I've backed quite heavily. If it hits Monday's high of 388, then I see it taking off from there, so tomorrow is quite a key day. I also have my eye on a few more to add to my spread list.
Cineworld and Moneysupermarket are both in my sights. And I have put opening positions on both. Cineworld is set at 274.39, whilst Moneysupermarket is good to go at 204.77.

Hellas Verona to come up trumps against Bari
Hellas Verona are a very cagey side. They are not free scoring but they have the best defence in the league conceding just 21 goals. They lost back to back games against Vicenza and Novara but bounced back beating Varese 2-0 on the weekend. Away from home, they have lost just once to sides in the bottom half. If Verona can get that first goal, I think it will be extremely difficult for Bari to get anything out of the game.

Pitstips - Finance
Well it could have been a hell of a lot worse. The net result from today's trading is a loss of 65 quid. This last four or five days I'm become accustomed to these almost heart attack inducing falls in my tips. At one point, my selections were sitting on a profit of almost £500 and equity of in excess of £700. That has shrivelled as first the AAA credit rating of Britain was reduced and then yesterday, instability in Italy had a dramatic affect on trade.
Both pre-bell days saw dramatic falls and at one point Pits Tips was looking at a loss of near enough £140. So, since that moment it's fair to say that the portfolio has levelled somewhat. At the bell today Pits Tips was up £212 with equity of £553. I need a good day tomorrow though to see the tips surge towards the £300 profit mark. Don't forget this figure would have been higher has the close position not triggered to close out Eurasian Natural Resources.

PSG and Marseille apologise to David Beckham for contesting a football match around his main show
Both Ligue teams apologised for playing a football match in the middle of the David Beckham show last night. David Beckham came on and changed the game straight away according to many a Beckham dick licker. Then right on cue, and just when Ibrahimovic had the gall to try and celebrate his goal, David Beckham hijacked all that shit to pounce on Ibra like Tony Blair did to Cherie that time. If this act of affection was down an alleyway on a Friday night, Ibra would have been fully entitled to have done Beckman for rape.
The end result is that Beckham got his picture on every sport page this morning. Job well done!

The first game today is Udinese v Napoli and what a game it promise to be. Udinese are one of my favourite sides in football and at home they are as good as anyone. Napoli have come off some very poor form and so Udinese at 2.28 with a draw no bet is very good value.
At 7pm Emmen play Excelsior. Both are struggling near the bottom of the table but home advantage and Excelsior's inability to win away from win make this a home win with a draw no bet.
Levante-Osasuna is on at 8pm together with West Ham-Spurs. I'm going for a Levante home win at just over evens in the first game and I'm also going to back Spurs to win outright away from home against the Hammers.
Pitstips recommends these games today #football

19:15 Hertha BSC Berlin vs 1. FC Kaiserslautern
19:30 AS Monaco vs RC Lens
20:00 UD Levante vs Osasuna

Lembit twists the Clegg knife
Lembit the joker makes a deadly serious point: http://t.co/7yXY9mpMfI -- Harry Cole (@MrHarryCole)
The Lord Rennard scandal
is spreading, not least because of Nick Clegg’s willingness to bring in other characters. He even directly named Danny Alexander as central to the disastrous investigation five years ago. Clegg’s statement
says they didn’t know the specifics involved or the names of the women.
A line that does not hold much weight when one of the victims was his own Special Advisor.
As many Liberal Democrats lie low, it would not be a ‘show trial’ without everyone’s favourite yellow clown. Enter stage left Lembit Opik who popped on Sky News. The last person that the party leadership would want to see, and he did not upset the punters:

The joker makes a deadly serious point.‘I don’t want to hear all the emotion from Clegg, I don’t want to hear how angry he is. Why did he say at the beginning of the week that he knew nothing about it? If he did know all about it, why were we told that he didn’t?’

Nadine Dorries Eastleigh candidates gaffe
Nadine Dorries obviously either doesn't consider Diane James a woman, or doesn't think UKIP as 'credible' candidates judging from this gaffe late Friday night.
Spreads back on track with a decent rise
Today was much better at least in terms of stabilising yesterday's horror show. The spreads were up around £60 in total with Aberdeen Asset Management once again being the shining light. It rose almost 10pts giving me £190+ profit so far.
There were decent enough risers with Synthomer, Elementis and Talvivaar as well. Perhaps waiting for a kick start are the shares that were introduced yesterday morning. Premier Oil, SIG and Qinetiq are all valued at £2pp and only SIG is approaching break even.
So overall I'd say pleasing, but we're going to have to see Monday which way investors are going on the back of the bad American news.
I currently stand at +£277 with £618 equity.

Financial Spread Betting - Shit. Where do we start? #pitstips
Just three days ago Pitstips was sitting pretty with a profit of almost £400. Today has been a catastrophe only helped by a decent last couple of hours of trading.
News from the US wasn't good first thing after news from the Federal Reserve put a dent in the opening prices. Immediately Eurasian Natural Resources hit my stop limit which I've really pissed off about. At its worst today it was down around 25 points, at its height Eurasian alone was going over the £100 mark. I had to take a profit of around £50.
The introduction of Premier Oil, Qinetiq and SIG couldn't have happened at a worst time really as I opted for £2/p. Everything took a hit basically apart from Mytrah ironically who is now entering profit territory. Aberdeen was a faller, trading lower by 16 points. Vodafone is also beginning to vex me. Down £30 as I type. This has been thrown a downward couple of days though and hopefully there will be some takers going through next week.
When all is said and done, I suppose at least the share prices were curbed although there was great pressure on the stop limits around midday. We're up £220 with equity of £561. The Eurasian thing has really pissed me off though and finished only 10pts down. If it plummets to hell in the next week then it will at least take the sting out of it.
I've learned a valuable lesson today though in terms of share volatility based on government announcements. I have sailed close to the wind with some stop limits and it was borne out today that they shouldn't be set too near.
Hopefully we can get something out of tomorrow. The FTSE 100 fell by 103pts and the FTSE 250 an astounding 185pts, where most of my portfolio is based. A hard day.

Financial Spread Bets - Three companies added. SIG, Premier Oil and Qinetiq #pitstips
SIG is a supplier of building products. Their share value dipped as low as 81 in June 2012 but since then they have recovered well and have hit a high of 144. Pitstips believes that this trend will continue. SIG was 144.5 at start with £2/p.
Premier Oil is where we're at next. In March of last year they hit 452, something that the brokers' ratings are eying up again. They have risen from just under 320 in December to 384 yesterday. Pitstips believes there are more gains to be made. Entry level was 391 at £2/p. 19 of 26 brokers have rated this as buy or stronger with price targets ranging in and around the 500 mark with some brokers.
Qinetiq were a company that I looked at in January and am kicking myself a little for not following my gut instinct. They were 185 when I tagged them and since then have gone to 211. Is this about the ceiling? I'm not so sure. 8 brokers indicate hold, buy or strong buy. Their market capital is £1.36bn although their target price is around this mark. I believe that it will see gains though.
